A local gun club has raised almost £4,000 over the last 3 years to support the physical and emotional care provided by Eden Valley Hospice.
Since 2010 members of Penrith and District Gun Club have hosted a range of fundraising events in aid of the local hospice. On Sunday 28 July, the Chairman of Penrith and District Gun Club, Reg Carruthers, presented Dr Mike Dunlop from Eden Valley Hospice with £750 raised at their annual charity shoot.
Allaster Dunlop, Eden Valley Hospice Fundraiser said, “On behalf of everybody at Eden Valley Hospice I would like to thank the members of Penrith and District Gun Club for their continued support and generosity over the last 3 years. The group have raised an amazing amount of money to support our dedicated team of nurses and specialist doctors.”
