Marshals required for Hospice fundraiser

A local hospice is inviting people to make a difference and marshal the PJ Parade route at the first Ultimate Pyjama Party.

On Friday 21 June, hundreds of women will come together at Carlisle Racecourse for an action packed evening of fundraising, pampering and live entertainment in aid of Eden Valley Hospice.

To ensure the 10km PJ Parade through Carlisle City Centre is as safe as possible for all of the fundraising walkers, the Hospice is encouraging the local community to marshal certain points along the route. Every year, the marshals play an essential role in the successful running of the walk and ensure that the party atmosphere continues during the route.

Local businesses support Hospice event

Fundraisers at Eden Valley Hospice’s Ultimate Pyjama Party will be able to indulge themselves with beauty treatments, food and fashion courtesy of a host of local businesses.

On Friday 21 June, hundreds of women will come together at Carlisle Racecourse for an action packed evening of fundraising, pampering and live entertainment in aid of Eden Valley Hospice. The local hospice is now encouraging ladies of all ages to sign up and support the Hospice’s dedicated team of nurses.

Before the ladies take to the streets of Carlisle in the 10km PJ Parade they will be able to immerse themselves courtesy of a number of local businesses. Including beauty treatments with Jibe Hairdressers and Emma Clegg Nail Technician, or they can receive a souvenir of the night by having their picture taken in a photo booth, courtesy of Ian McCrane Photography.

The event is a fantastic way for women to unite and show they support and pride for the Hospice’s dedicated team of nurses who care for local people when they need it most.”

Award winning band to play at Hospice Event

An award winning band, which featured in Emmerdale’s 40^th Anniversary show, will be entertaining the crowds at Eden Valley Hospice’s ladies only event this summer.

On Friday 21 June, Hip Operation will kick start the evening of entertainment, pampering and fundraising at the Ultimate Pyjama Party. The band, who have been named the UK’s best wedding entertainment for 2012, have performed for a range of famous people including Alan Shearer and Declan Donnelly.

Steve Dolder, Band Manager, said “The band are particularly excited about this one, we have been involved in almost every scenario but a hall full of ladies in pyjamas is a first. It’s going to be great fun.”

The pyjama themed evening promises to be a memorable night of fundraising in aid of Eden Valley Hospice. Hip Operation will get the Ultimate Pyjama Party started with a wide variety of music, including The Jam, Queen and Cee Lo Green, before hundreds of women will make a real difference to lives of local people by taking part in the 10km Pyjama Parade through Carlisle.

Debenhams, Carlisle, 15th May – VIP beauty event to support Hospice

An evening filled with new season fragrances, cosmetics and pampering will be raising money for a local hospice.

On Wednesday 15 May Debenhams in Carlisle will be hosting a VIP gala evening demonstrating a wide range of new season products for everybody to enjoy. As well as a wide range of demonstrations staff will also be offering free makeovers, a nail bar and skin care at the exclusive evening.

Kerry Stubbs, Cosmetic Sales Manager at Debenhams, said “We are excited to be hosting the VIP Pamper Evening in support of Eden Valley Hospice. We will have a range of a range of pamper treatments available for our customers to enjoy, including a nail bar supplied by Urban Beauty, Carlisle, and hair design demonstrations by Evan Shek, Toni & Guy stylist

“This fabulous event will showcase all the key looks for the spring/summer season as well as raising money for a fantastic charity.”

Tickets for the VIP beauty event are now available in Debenhams and include a buffet and champagne reception on the evening. Tickets are £5 with all of the proceeds being donated to Eden Valley Hospice.
